Some people keep their vaping devices in their purses. The RAZ RYL Classic 35K Vape looks and feels like a purse filled with nicotine.
The product, priced wholesale at $64, is “disposable” in name but offers 35,000 puffs. It features a leather grip and a gold chain. A video display monitors battery life and how much of the 16 mL of e-liquid remains.
Despite the FDA denying marketing applications for thousands of flavored vape products, including disposables, these devices include Blue Raz Ice, Miami Mint and Orange Mango, raising concerns about addiction and health impacts.
“As a pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine physician, these products raise public health concerns,” said UW-CTRI Director Dr. Hasmeena Kathuria, “in terms of their potential to addict young people, interfere with sleep patterns and affect both physical and mental health.”
These devices are not authorized for sale by the FDA. For more on the health effects of vaping, click here.
