TTURC 1: Understanding and Preventing Relapse (1999-2004)
From 1999 to 2004, much of the research conducted at UW-CTRI was part of the national Transdisciplinary Tobacco Use Research Center (TTURC) grant program. Researchers examined:
· Measurement of Tobacco Dependence.
· Real-Time Response: Assessing Quitting Processes and Treatment Effects.
· Computer-Delivered Treatment to Stop Smoking.
· Genetics and Tobacco Use.
London Scott quit smoking through TTURC 1 research involving use of the Wisconsin Tobacco Quit Line and nicotine lozenges.
