Hannah Hayward is UW-CTRI’s Post Awards Accountant. She provides fiscal and administrative support to UW-CTRI’s Outreach and Research programs.
“We are very excited to have her on the team,” said Brooke Anderson, Director of Human Resources and Research Administration.
Hayward comes to UW-CTRI from the UW Department of Emergency Medicine, where she handled similar duties.
Hayward said she’s excited to continue working at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health, “working toward a mission I’m passionate about. All four of her grandparents smoked, and three passed away from lung cancer. Her parents, knowing the effect it had on them growing up, were vigilant that their children didn’t become addicted.
Hayward’s mom is a veterinary assistant.
“She sees the effects of secondhand smoke on the animals’ fur and health,” Hayward said.
Hayward studied biology, society and the environment at the University of Minnesota, and minored in public health and criminology. The Neenah, Wisconsin native enjoys the outdoors—including hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, as well as going to the Terrace, State Street, the farmers market and coffee houses.
