The theme this year is, “From Seed to Society: Cultivating Connections.” Presentations and panel discussions will focus on four priority topic areas: Agriculture; Health and Medicine; Business and Design; Policy and Regulation.

UW-CTRI Researcher Dr. Jesse Kaye is a member of the conference planning committee and will lead a panel discussion on health and medicine. UW-CTRI Director Dr. Hasmeena Kathuria will be a panelist.

The conference is a dynamic, multi-disciplinary event aimed at expanding awareness, fostering knowledge exchange, and bridging gaps in cannabis research, education, and policy.

The conference will bring together researchers and students from across campus as well as key industry stakeholders to share updates and facilitate collaboration.

Kaye and Kathuria said they’re looking forward to connecting with other cannabis researchers on campus and sharing their insights about addiction. They are interested in conducting research in the future on co-use of tobacco and cannabis. Kaye will present a poster on co-use this month at the Society for Research on Nicotine and Tobacco Annual Conference in New Orleans.

Registration is open for the Cannabis Research Conference—so sign up now before the 115 spots fill up!” Kaye said.
