Three UW-CTRI colleagues are among the top 100 tobacco-control researchers when it comes to paper citations in their careers.
According to research by Dr. John Ioannidis and his team from Stanford University, out of more than 9 million authors of tobacco-related research, UW-CTRI Director Dr. Michael Fiore ranked 20th most-cited. UW-CTRI Associate Director Dr. Tim Baker is 75th, while UW-CTRI Director of Clinical Services Dr. Doug Jorenby was 94th.
Former UW-CTRI employee Dr. Jeff Niederdeppe ranked 98th.
“This is a tribute to the teamwork of everyone at the Center who works so hard to make our research studies happen,” said Fiore. “We thank everyone who has contributed to that, including our collaborators and funders.”
