Laila Sabha is a new Tobacco Care Managers (TCMs) working on the Breaking Addiction to Tobacco for Health 2 (BREATHE 2) study, working remotely and calling participants to offer support.
Sabha joined the Advocate Aurora Health team. She will soon complete her triple major in Psychology, Biological Sciences and Neuroscience at UW Milwaukee.
She has worked with patients for years and wanted to stay in healthcare but do something more related to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
“So this is the perfect fit for me,” she said.
While her relatives don’t use tobacco, some of her friends do vape. One close friend has expressed an interest in quitting, so Sabha plans to reach out at some point to assist her.
