- UW-CTRI Director Dr. Hasmeena Kathuria provided comments to CHEST Physician about recent research on tobacco dependence treatment in COPD patients. The publication reaches an estimated 113 unique physicians per day.
- UW-CTRI Researchers and Physician Dr. Brian Williams spoke with the Badger Herald about the health effects of vaping. The Badger Herald reaches approximately 15,000 people online. He also spoke with CBS News 3 about the health effects of vaping. News 3 reaches approximately 525,000.
- UW-CTRI Associate Director Dr. Tim Baker was a co-author on a journal article featured in HealthDay, which gets approximately 7,775 unique daily visitors and was the lead story in AMA Morning Rounds (an email that goes to 215,000 clinicians across the country). Researchers found that quitting smoking after a cancer diagnosis is associated with improved survival rates, including those with advanced-stage cancer.
