UW-CTRI Researcher Dr. Adrienne Johnson served as a guest on Dementia Matters, the Wisconsin Aging and Disability Resource Center’s podcast. She spoke to host Dr. Nathaniel Chin about tobacco use and dementia.

Older Americans are less likely to be advised to quit tobacco or offered help by providers, Johnson said. A common misperception is that mature adults can’t or won’t quit and, if they do, won’t benefit from it. But the research reflects the contrary.
