UW-CTRI Outreach Director Rob Adsit has been named to the board of directors for the North American Quitline Consortium (NAQC). Adsit will serve a three-year term to help guide the international, non-profit membership organization which seeks to promote evidence-based quitline services across North America.

NAQC’s Mission is to: Maximize the access, use, and effectiveness of quitlines; provide leadership and a unified voice to promote quitlines; and offer a forum to link those interested in quitline operations.

Today, residents in all 50 U.S. states, 10 provinces and two territories in Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the District of Columbia have access to tobacco quitline services. NAQC membership is comprised of quitline service providers, funders of quitlines, researchers, and strategic partners.

Adsit can be re-elected for an additional term, for a total of 6 years.
