Wendy Theobald, PhD has retired after more than 20 years of service as a researcher at UW-CTRI.
Theobald was an RN with a background in addiction and psychiatric nursing. She joined UW-CTRI as a post-doctoral fellow in 2002. Her research interests and prior work experience included adolescent psychiatry and adult alcohol detox. Since 2002, her research focus was tobacco dependence treatment, particularly the dissemination of information regarding best treatment practices through continuing education activities for health care providers.
She participated in the preparation of the 2000 and 2008 Public Health Service Guidelines, Treating Tobacco Use and Dependence. She provided research assistance for UW-CTRI staff and associates.
