Amy Conlon, MPH, is the Director of Research Administration at UW-CTRI. Conlon has spent her career building and managing programs that improve the public’s health. After completing her Master’s in Public Health at the University of Minnesota, she started her career in tobacco prevention and control at the Minnesota Department of Health. There, she learned much about tobacco as a major public health issue, the importance of cessation within tobacco control, and the power of research to further reduce rates of tobacco use.
Following her time in Minnesota, she moved back to Wisconsin, to become the first Program Director for the Wisconsin Comprehensive Cancer Control Program at the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center. Conlon served for nearly 15 years in that role, building a strong infrastructure to support cancer control research and outreach throughout Wisconsin. Most recently, Conlon was a Project Manager for Strategy and Development at UW Health, leading complex projects within UW Health’s strategic plan.
